Description

Published in a volume in 1883, "The Adventures of Pinocchio: The Story of a Marionette“is one of the world’s most popular children's books and its protagonist is certainly the world's most popular Italian character. Created by Carlo Collodi, pseudonym of the writer Carlo Lorenzini (1826-1890), ever since its first appearance, Pinocchio has been illustrated countless of times by dozens of great artists over the years, but perhaps one of the most successful versions was that by Attilio Mussino(1878-1954) in 1911. This great illustrator from Piedmont gave to the character, and also to all the protagonists of the tale, a unique style and characterizations so successful that he became an authentic point of reference for generations to come, earning the nickname of: "Pinocchio's uncle." From his work which is full of great artistic ideas, original illustrating styles and a unique pencil stroke, Infinite Statue has decided to pay homage to a great literary character and an unforgettable drawing master with a new and unprecedented initiative

Infinite Statue is proud to present for the first time ever, the statue of "Pinocchio" par excellence: a unique creation that reproduces with great accuracy and fidelity the illustrations that Attilio Mussino realised for the Bemporad edition of 1911. Fully completed, hand painted and made of high quality resin, this little piece of Italian illustration history celebrates the talent of a great illustrator, and brings Pinocchio back to its origins and to its best representation ever.
