Mirka Adolfo

MIRKA ANDOLFO, illustrator and colourist, has worked (and still does) with various publishers in Italy, France and the United States. These include: Edizioni Piemme (The Kite Runner), BAO Publishing, Editoriale Aurea, ReNoir Comics, Glénat/Drugstore, Dynamite Entertainment, Aspen MLT, Zenescope, Image Comics and BOOM! Studios. 

Since 2011, she has been colouring the graphic novels of Geronimo Stilton, and regularly works with Walt Disney, mostly colouring stories (Bram Topker’s Dracula, Moby Dick, and two stories in the historic 3000th issue) and “Mickey Mouse” covers. As a comic artist, she has put her name to series including Chaos (Dynamite, based on texts by Tim Seeley), Damsels in Excess (Aspen, based on texts by Vince Hernandez) and Lady Demon (Dynamite, based on texts by Aaron Gillespie), and a short story for Vampirella (Dynamite). In 2014, she started collaborating with Sergio Bonelli Editore, colouring a story for the Dylan Dog Colour Fest; she is currently drawing and colouring a story for the character that will be published in mid-2015. In 2012 she created Sacro/Profano, a success in terms of media and sales.
