If there's one thing Stan can do very well is to get both in trouble! Oliver is the unaware victim of the awkward friend who inevitably repents immediately after having unleashed the disaster. How many times have we seen our two heroes grappling with a good job to do: start with the best intentions, Oliver directs everything from great foreman and Stan executes the orders, but within a few minutes, here is lurking the damage and, yes, Oliver will suffer the worst consequences! Slapstick rhythms, highest levels recitative mastery: the Oliver & Hardy duo is practically still unsurpassed and a model without equal.
No one like them has been able to convey the sense of the comedy through the body and the face expression: their expressions spoke a universal and timeless language that still today makes us laugh as if it were the first time, they make us laugh like it was the first time.
Inspired by images from the film Busy Bodies (1933), this 1:12-scale car represents a new and exciting chapter in our creations linked to the iconic duo Laurel & Hardy. This time, our two heroes are travelling towards the sawmill, where they will cause all sorts of disasters, and the car will feature as prominently as the two stars. We worked on the original drawings and blueprints of the 1924 Ford Model T Runabout with meticulous care, in order to create a remarkable model, made with the utmost possible perfection. Each tiny detail has been redesigned, while preserving all the special characteristics that the car had in the film, such as, for example, the gramophone under the bonnet! This model is made with photoetched components, a special colour scheme with vintage effects, PVC wheels, and two opening parts: the bonnet that opens on the side containing the gramophone, and the rear luggage compartment, revealing the suitcase containing tools placed there by Stan. With this car/statue we have taken another step forward in the field of high-profile collecting, enabling you to add an exclusive piece, unique in its class, to your collection.
